Title: TAIL OF BAYONNE
Age: 5 months
Breed: Mini Goldendoodle
Special Skills: I can catch a ball in mid-air and play fetch with dad. I can give great “paw” shakes, sit, stay, and look both ways before crossing the street!
Favorite Food: Lamb wet food with his kibbles from taste of the wild!
Favorite Toy: My stuffed caterpillar
Favorite Place to Sleep: In front of the air conditioner! I get a little hot with all this fur!
Favorite Activity: Going to the dog park and meeting new friends!
Favorite Hangout/Walk: I love walking around my neighborhood, especially when go for some ice cream at Carvel. Broadway in Bayonne is where I like to hangout. I love receiving attention and pets from the locals.
Most Mischievous Thing You Have Ever Done: I ate my puppy training book (practically forced by parents to use the cheesy line, “my dog ate my homework”).
How Did You Come Into Your Family’s Life? My mom said she was left heart broken after my sister died. She was a Yorkie, and mommy had her for many years. She finally opened up her heart to owning another dog, and that’s where I came in. Mommy says I came to fill an emptiness that hurt her for a long time.
What Makes You The Best Pet Ever? My teddy bear look is a favorite with the ladies! But I think that what sets me apart from other pets is the positive energy I radiate! I am always so energetic and eager to see new places, smell new things, and meet new people! My mom says the energy I give off is contagious!
Why Did You Decide To Enter the Tail of the Year? I want to share the positive energy and affection I give my parents every day , with the rest of the world! Mom always says, “you attract the energy you give off,” and in the world we live in today, we all need good vibes! I want to spread that energy with my community.
How Did you Prepare For The Contest and Get Votes? My mom told me that you always have to dress for the occasion, so I put on my best bow tie, and my cutest puppy look and took a picture. The rest is history! My mom shared my picture on her social media, and on my instagram page. Our family and friends were more than eager to vote for me. Also, my mom is part of golden doodle groups on facebook, where she shared my journey in this competition and was able to receive a lot of support.
What Did You Enjoy Most About The Tail Of The Year? I think blogging about the competition has been fun for my mom and I. She loves taking pictures of me around town and making videos about my life as a city pup in Bayonne and posting them on my instagram page.
What Advise Would You Give To The Next Tail of Your City? My number one advice is always to enjoy the journey! Have fun competing, take pictures, make memories, and just enjoy the attention and the ride!
How Are You Handling Your New Found Fame? Being the social butterfly that I am, I am ecstatic. Mom still can’t believe it.
If You Could Be Any Super Hero, Who Would You Be? I would be Daredevil. Although undervalued, Daredevil is a blind superhero who developed heightened senses that helped him fight crime in his city! I am a lot like him, with my keen sense of smell and taste. And my neighbors say I am fearless. Just like a super hero!
What Does It Mean To You To Be The Tail Of Your City? Being the Tail of the Year winner would mean that my positive energy reached my community and many others. That would mean a lot to me because we all need that positivity to help us get through the day. Knowing I was able to put a smile to someone’s face or change their attitude for the day would make this competition worth everything!
