Name: Tucker
Title: TAIL OF GUTTENBERG
Age: 5 and 1/2 months
Breed: Labrador Retriever
Special Skills: All the tricks! Minus coming when called. Knows bed, mat, crate, roll over, sit, sit pretty, spin, touch, etc. I will be starting agility school soon. When I gets older I will become a certified hospital dog to go visit patients to help brighten their days.
Favorite Food: Bully sticks or himalyan cheese bars for lounging on my mat or steak during training – mom calls them “high value treats”
Favorite Toy: Hide a squirrel!
Favorite Place to Sleep: The crate! But sometimes mom and dad let me fall asleep on the couch, eventually I’ll get to sleep in bed so I can get back to sleeping on dad’s face (except I’ll be 70 lbs, which dad may not like so much)
Favorite Activity: Going to the dog park or puppy social
Favorite Hangout/Walk: The North Hudson County dog park or walking down by the Hudson river
Most Mischievous Thing You Have Ever Done: When the parents aren’t watching you might find me with my head in the cats litter box or trying to make love to my bed
How Did You Come Into Your Family’s Life? My parents have wanted a dog for a while but when they found out that I was being born they jumped at the opportunity. You see, my uncle was my dad’s dog growing up. I remind everyone of my uncle Jordan (my middle name – Tucker Jordan) but with a very unique personality. If you look at his old pictures next to mine, it is very crazy!
What Makes You The Best Pet Ever? All I want to do is be around people spreading love! When I was a baby learning to walk, I would cry every time mom wouldn’t let me say hi to everyone. I’m a people pleaser and can’t wait to settle down and help those in need
Why Did You Decide To Enter the Tail of the Year? Being a quarantine pup, it can be hard to meet new friends. I thought tail of the year would be a great way to start.
How Did you Prepare For The Contest and Get Votes? Mom recently made me an instagram so I asked all of my new friends to help! My parents and grandparents also were good about spreading the word on my quest for fame
What Did You Enjoy Most About The Tail Of The Year? The opportunity to see many cute future friends! The features every day have been so fun and its great to see so many pups, kittens, and their families all so close in Hudson County
What Advise Would You Give To The Next Tail of Your City? Just be friendly! Wagging tails go a long way with humans for some reason…
How Are You Handling Your New Found Fame? Anyone want to hang out?
If You Could Be Any Super Hero, Who Would You Be? Batman – I am only trying to do good for those around me but I sometimes destroy things accidentally. Also, I hate Catwoman (aka my cat brothers) but sometimes I may need to get along with them for the greater good.
What Does It Mean To You To Be The Tail Of Your City? It would mean a lot to me to represent my county especially since my mom is new to this area but my dad grew up here. We definitely live in the best part of New Jersey (I’m unbiased I swear) and being the face of Trusty Tails would be great because I know the owners clearly care about animals in a special way.
