Trusty Tails in search of one pet in Hudson County, NJ to crown the Tail of the Year for 2021. We’re in the final stage of our competition where one Tail has been chosen from each city. How old is your pet? 1 year and 7 months! March 17, 2020.
What breed is your pet? Golden Retriever
What are your pet’s special skills? Balancing treats on her head and on her paws and waiting to eat the treats!
What is your pet’s favorite food? Anything mom and dad are eating!
What is your pet’s favorite toy? The blue squeaker ball inside any bark toy!
Where is your pet’s favorite place to sleep? In bed with mama.
What is your pet’s favorite activity? Destroying all the toys in 5 seconds, which magnolia sees as a skill!
Where is your pet’s favorite place to hang out or walk? Love walking down the street to our local pub to get love from the bartender!
What is the most mischievous thing your pet has ever done? Steal all the socks and undies from the hamper!
How did your pet come into your life? Always wanted a golden retriever as a dog. A month after COVID I looked more and more into getting one and found her from a breeder in PA. Best. Decision. Ever!
What makes your pet the best pet ever? Magnolia makes anyone smile and feel better by just doing nothing at all. She’s always there when you need a quick shower(she will lick you all over) and when you need a vacuum (for when all your crumbs fall on the floor)!
Why did you decide to enter the Tail of the Year? I feel that Magnolia is really special and I’d love to show everyone else how great she is!
How did you prepare for the contest and get votes? Lots of loving family and friends voted for her every chance they got! So honored to have so much support.
What do you enjoy most about the Tail of the Year so far? I enjoy seeing all the pets in the area and connecting with other pets/pawrents.
What advice would you give to the next tail of your city? The advice I would give to the next tail of Kearny would to just be yourself and to always kiss your pawrents before bed!
How are you handling your new found fame? I’ve definitely noticed a lot more treatos! Mom is always calling me a good/pretty girl, but I think it’s been said a lot more now!
If you could have any super power, what would it be? Why? If I could have any super power it would be invisibility so I can go to work with my pawrents without their bosses knowing!
What does it mean to be the Tail of your city? Being the Tail of Kearny means a lot to me because I’m always looking out the window trying to protect the area and make sure everyone notices me and tells me I’m a good girl!
