Peaceful Places for Hoboken Dog Walking
Despite being the fourth most densely populated city in the country (New York City is currently sixth, I might add) there are actually several spots around town that you can enjoy peacefully with your dog without having to worry about so many distractions. Being located on the Hudson River allows us Hoboken folks to enjoy the picturesque view of the waterfront and the skyline of New York City. From the Lackawanna Train Station to the Tea Buildings on 15th street there is no shortage of pier to take advantage of. That said, some blocks and areas of the pier are more visited than others and for that reason we’ve compiled a small list of the more peaceful areas of the waterfront for peaceful Hoboken dog walking.
Hoboken’s Sinatra Field
Located below the little league field on Sinatra Drive lays Sinatra Field. I played rec soccer here as a kid and always noticed how infrequently I witnessed people taking advantage of this great walkway. Sinatra Field is a great place to bring your dog if you live downtown and want to avoid the larger crowds at Pier A and C.
Hoboken’s Sinatra Drive
If you continue north on Sinatra Drive in Hoboken you will find a roughly a half mile of pier that is also usually more spacious. Another benefit to this location is that there are plenty of parking spots unused by residents.
Hoboken’s Hudson Tea Building Area
Located on 15th Street of Hoboken, the Tea Buildings tower over uptown Hoboken an create what seems to be a closed community surrounding them, however the circumference of the building is complete with under used walkway that provides great views of Manhattan and also access to Weehawken and its marina. Contact us if you are looking for a local dog walker in Weehawken or a local dog walker in Lower Manhattan! The walkway is open to the public and vastly under populated in comparison to the pier located at Maxwell Place.
