Let's Go for One Last Bark in the Park!

It’s unseasonably warm outside right now. Raise your paw if you thought we’d see 80° F days in October!

Since this mild weather may not last much longer, it would be wise to make the most of it while we can! Do some good for yourself and your dog by spending as much free time outside this month.

There are some lovely dog parks in Essex county and if you haven’t been to many yet, it’s not too late to squeeze in a few more  adventures.

East Hills Park

East Hills Park is located in Livingston, on Shrewsbury Drive. This wonderful park is open from 8am until sunset and has two play areas for your pup—big or small. The small dog park allows dogs who are 25 lbs or lighter and the large dog park is open to dogs of all sizes. There is a limit of 2 dogs per adult for everyone’s safety.

There is also a 1.5 mile wooded nature trail with fitness stations. Dogs must be kept on a leash in this area of the park. For a complete list of rules, visit Livingston Township’s website.

If you want to take your dog to this park, your dog is required to be registered and you must obtain a Livingston Dog Park Pass. In order to have a pass you must go through the registration process. The application form can be downloaded right here.
