Established in 1959, this Hoboken dive bar markets themselves as a pet-friendly bar on their website. They host several BYOD (Bring Your Own Dog) events that raise funds for local pet rescues. That’s right, your pint of Guinness can help pets in need.

Elysian Cafe – 1001 Washington St, Hoboken, NJ

First opened as Dillenger & Jefferson’s in 1895, this Hoboken hotspot has been an ice cream parlor, a hair salon, and in its most recent incarnation, a modern French bistro. The bountiful outdoor seating space makes this place a great dog-friendly option.

Blue Eyes Restaurant – 525 Sinatra Dr, Hoboken, NJ

Named after Frank Sinatra, one of Hoboken’s most famous past residents, Blue Eyes Restaurant is a must for pet owners. According to this stellar review, “…first time eating out with our pet Milo. The staff is awesome. Even made some grilled chicken for Milo. Great food. The pizza Nepolitano was awesome! Definitely recommend [sic] to all pet owners.”

The Ale House – 1034 Willow Ave, Hoboken, NJ

This upbeat Hoboken tavern boasts a very casual atmosphere. Their delicious drinks are served alongside pool tables, shuffleboards, karaoke, darts, and more. They are a dog-friendly joint, and may even post a picture of your pup to their Facebook page.

Pier 13 – 1301 Sinatra Dr N, Hoboken, NJ

Pier 13 is an outdoor Hoboken favorite. Soak up the sun on the Hudson waterfront with a beer, signature cocktail, frose, and your trusty pal by your side. Though they are currently closed for the season, they host a variety of events over the summer. Pier 13 is a must for anyone stopping by with their pup!

The Lutze – 3 2nd St, Jersey City, NJ

This hip outdoor beer garden is located in Jersey City’s downtown area on the waterfront. They are the perfect place to enjoy a few drinks and casual food on the water with your furry friend. They are currently closed for the season, but stay tuned for their 2021 season opening!

Departed Soles Brewing Company – 150 Bay St #2a, Jersey City, NJ

Touted as Jersey City’s first modern brewing company and tasting room, this hip spot allows dogs in the tap room. With a variety of stouts, IPAs, and signature ales, this walk-in brewery is an experience you and your pet won’t want to miss.

Corgi Spirits Distillery – 1 Distillery Dr, Jersey City, NJ

Corgi Spirits is a Jersey City distillery founded in 2017 and specializing in small batch gin. As the name suggests, the founders love corgis, so feel free to bring your own pup to experience the outdoor area of the distillery! They are open Friday through Sunday, so stop by during the weekend with your pup to experience their delicious elixirs.

Ed & Mary’s – 174 Coles St, Jersey City, NJ

Ed & Mary’s is a cozy pub with delicious food, a full bar, and outdoor dog-friendly seating. Feel free to order some grilled chicken for your dog while you eat one of their delicious burgers!
