Pet Nutrition Is How It All Began

Mike has been in the pet supply business since 1977.  It all started as a family-run business called Vita Chow dog and cat food center, one of many 5-6 pet stores that existed in BK at that time. The breakthrough came a few years later when Mike and his brother, George Jr., became 2 of 3 certified pet nutritionists in the tri-state area.  With their knowledge in pet nutrition, he and George, Jr. set out to inform people the best way to feed their pets.  Eventually this led them to open NYC Pet.com stores (which also includes Hoboken Pet), with George Jr. being the sole owner and Mike being the nutritional adviser. 

Location

Hoboken Pet is conveniently located in the center Hoboken at 523 Washington Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030.  If you come into the store you will hear a wide variety of music from 80’s to disco to Egyptian music.

At Hoboken Pet, you and your pets can expect to be treated like family. They sell everything for your dogs and cats, as well some supplies for other animals. Mike is always there for any advice you may need, recommendations and questions to be answered. 

Fun Facts About Mike

Mike has a yorkie named Baci who was rescued from a puppy mill.  He is Grandfather to 1 year old Anthony and two week old Lucas.  Mike is an avid sports fan and he loves playing Texas Hold ‘Em.

Hoboken Pet sells all types of pet food and pet supplies.  When you enter the shop, the first thing you notice is the long wall of dog treats having up.   You can give them a ring and they will deliver all over Hudson County.Top Selling Cat & Dog Toys

Their top selling dog toy is of course the Kong brand of toys. Their top selling cat toy is the springs by Spot.

How They Make A Difference In The Community

They donate to many causes, both animal and human related in Hoboken. Their largest annual event is “Pictures with Santa” – a fun and enjoyable time for pets and their owners.
