Pets from all over Hudson County will battle it out over the coming months to win Trusty Tails new annual pet competition and be crowned 2020 Tail of the Year – and this one isn’t just for dogs!

Set to be Hudson County’s largest pet competition ever seen, organizers at Trusty Tails are looking for pet owners all over the county to enter their pets in the Tail of The Year Competition.

First, entrants will compete to become the Tail of their City. One Semi-Finalist for each of the 12 cities in Hudson County. Then, the 12 city tail winners will go on to compete to win the overall title of 2020 Tail of the Year.

Owner Heather Gaida said, “This isn’t a competition just for the dogs – we want to celebrate the love people have for all types of pets. And we wanted to give all the cities in Hudson County a chance to compete with each other. It’s going to be so much fun for everyone involved”

Entries are open from August 31st – September 20th, after which a public vote and judging will take place – with the winner of the Tail of the Year being announced on the 18th November.

To enter, pet owners need to submit a photo of their pet and tell us why their pet should represent their city and go on to take the title of ‘2020 Tail of The Year’.

“People are so excited about the competition and can’t wait to start entering their pet on the 31st August. We’ve had an overwhelming response to the competition so far and we can’t wait to see all the different pets people enter their pets,” says Heather Gaida, owner of Trusty Tails.
