Trusty Tails in search of one pet in Hudson County, NJ to crown the Tail of the Year for 2021. We’re in the final stage of our competition where one Tail has been chosen from each city. Now, we need your help to decide who will be crowned Hudson County’s Tail of the Year 2021! Voting is from November 8 – November 23rd. Ever vote counts!

How old is your pet? Pippin is 3 years old – will be 4 in November : )
What breed is your pet? Domestic Short Hair – Tabby
What are your pet’s special skills? Playing goalie with his favorite bouncy balls. Being sous chef and sitting on our bar stool watching us make every meal. Finding all of mom’s hair ties and scrunchies to play with.
What is your pet’s favorite food? Purina Urinary S/O
What is your pet’s favorite toy? His little mice toys
Where is your pet’s favorite place to sleep? Curled up next to us
What is your pet’s favorite activity? Hide and seek
Where is your pet’s favorite place to hang out or walk? He loves to nap between our comforter and bed sheets or anywhere near a window!
What is the most mischievous thing your pet has ever done? When we leave a drawer open he likes to jump in and push out all of the clothes.
How did your pet come into your life? We adopted him from Fuzzy Butt Rescue – we heard his story and fell in love with him right away. We just knew he was our lil guy.
What makes your pet the best pet ever? Pippin had a rough couple of first years of life. Knowing this we weren’t expecting him to be very affectionate. But boy, does he love BIG. He may not be a lap cat (yet), but he loves to be around us and loves to play. He is always very interested in visitors and has slowly become more comfortable in his home. He has come a long way and we have loved every second with our Pip.
Why did you decide to enter the Tail of the Year? We thought it would be a fun way to honor our boy!
How did you prepare for the contest and get votes? We shared the link with family and friends.
What do you enjoy most about the Tail of the Year so far? Getting to see all of the entries and see how loved all of these Tails are!
What advice would you give to the next tail of your city? Play it cool like you have been there before.
How are you handling your newfound fame? Totally not playing it cool. Haven’t been here before.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Why? Super strength to lift up the couch that all my toys get stuck under.
What does it mean to be the Tail of your city? Would be an awesome way to solidify Pippin’s new neighborhood and our life in Jersey!
