Who Will Be My Dog Walker or Pet Sitter?

With a full staff of trained professionals, Trusty Tails has no shortage of vetted sitters and walkers at the ready for you and your pet. Each of them is fully background checked, insured and bonded, with years of experience as a pet-care professional. We don’t hire independent contractors; your walker or sitter is an employee of our company and therefore, we assume all liability and risk. You’ll get acquainted with your team during your initial meet and greet visit, who will be chosen to best assist you based on the following criteria:

Location
We do our best to keep our walkers in one or two general neighborhoods so as to make their routes more efficient; this way, your appointment will usually take place around the same time within your two-hour window, and you’ll almost always have the same sitter. Should they need time off for any reason, you’ll have another team member (likely the secondary walker/sitter you were introduced to at your meet and greet) in the vicinity to take over. Having a regular walker who knows your area helps to guarantee that your pet will have access to only the best while with their Trusty friend!

Special needs
Some pets have specialized routines and needs, and we make sure to choose the best walker/sitter for whatever situation you’re in. With veterinary technicians, certified trainers, and individuals with specific training to assist in rehabilitating rescue and foster pets, Trusty Tails has you covered no matter what.

Area of expertise
Let’s face it: There are cat people and there are dog people; those with an affinity for exercise and those who prefer a good snuggle. Although everyone on our staff adores animals, some simply have more experience and passion for certain breeds and needs. If your pet requires a high energy level, we’ll find a walker to match it; if your pet would rather relax or maybe has physical or medical limitations, one of our staff will be happy to join them with some low-key love.

If you’d ever like to be reintroduced to your sitter/walker, don’t hesitate to reach out and schedule a meet and greet. Your team will gladly visit you at a convenient time to make sure that both you and your pet are comfortable with who is in your home and caring for them. You’re also welcome to request a certain staff member for your visits, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your wishes. Your pet’s happiness is our priority!
