Interview with Trusty Tails Jersey City Pet Sitter Nick

Nick has been a petsitter with Trusty Tails since September 9, 2019 and primarily covers Jersey City.  Prior to Trusty Tails, he was a school teacher in Jersey City and an accounting student at St. Peter’s University.

Nick genuinely believes life is better with pets in your life, and since he currently can not have pets of his own, he decided to become a pet sitter to be able to be around them.  His heart wants to be able to own as many fur babies he can have, but unfortunately his “house” is not as big as his heart.

What is his favorite part of being at Trusty Tails?

Nick’s favorite part of being a pet sitter is the excitement and love he receives from the dogs.  Most of his dog clients will not permit him to take them for their walk until hugs and kisses have been given.

The kitty seal of approval from cat owners for a job well done is also heartwarming .

What’s the hardest part in his role as a pet sitter at Trusty Tails?

The hardest part of the job are when walks are canceled or shortened because of inclement weather . Trusty Tails is like the USPS in that neither rain, sleet or snow will deter them from their mission, but the safety of the pets come first and cannot risk getting the pet sick or injured due to hazardous weather conditions.

What does he do when she’s not working at Trusty Tails?

Nick makes every effort to play at least two games of chess a day.  He also has been studying foreign languages since the rather late age of 35.  He has studied Spanish at Queen Sofia Spanish Institute in NYC , French at FIAF and is currently enrolled in German with Goethe in NYC.
