A Day In The Life Of Skittles
5 AM:
Hi there, I’m Skittles! My day begins right around now, as soon as the sun comes up. Maybe I’ll chase the cat around the apartment, or maybe I’ll chew on my favorite rawhide bone until my mom wakes up in a few hours. Boy oh boy, do I gotta pee.
7 AM:
Hey! Looks like my mom is up, which can only mean one thing: time for my first walk! Bark! Bark! That’s how I let her know that I gotta go. I’m so excited to start my day I can hardly sit still long enough for my mom to put my leash on! Out the door we go!
7:15 AM:
Whoa! Is that a squirrel?! I love squirrels. I don’t see them around here a lot but when I do, something inside just tells me to run towards it. Oh wow, another dog! “Sniff, sniff. Fare thee well, as we go our separate ways. I hope to see you at that dog park later!”Mom’s scooping my poop, I guess that means it’s time to go back inside! Good thing too, because I am hungry.
8 AM:
Food time! Mom got me the best food ever yesterday from Cornerstone Pets. She says this food is healthier than the stuff that’s sold in the grocery stores. Mmm, and it tastes good too! Whoa, all this food is making me sleepy. Time for a nap!
12 PM:
Noon already? Looks like Mom’s on a lunch break, which means it’s dog park time! We’re going to my favorite one, the Church Square Park! I have so many friends there, and I can’t wait to play! “Hi Teddy! Can I sniff your butt? Great! Wanna run around with me?” Oh boy, someone brought a tennis ball! Time to run!
1 PM:
I’m back home now, and I’m so tired from all that running around! Time for another nap.
3 PM:
Mom says that I got kinda dirty at the dog park today, so she set up an appointment at the dog groomer! We go to Grooming by Erica Li, and she always makes grooming way less scary. And I feel great afterwards too!
5 PM:
We get to go on our long evening walk down by the water. That’s my favorite because I get to see so many other dogs and their moms and dads! Oh wow, Mom has a present for me! She got me a new toy from Hoboken Pet. I can’t wait to play with it when we get back home!
6 PM:
We’re home now, and mom is playing fetch with me and my new toy! But I am starting to get hungry again…
6:30 PM:
More yummy food! I sure do love eating. I might even sneak some of the cat’s food if Mom doesn’t catch me… Ugh! She caught me! Better luck next time.
7 PM:
Mom and I are snuggled up on the couch watching a movie! This is my favorite time of the day, because I get lots of pets, and I get to chew on my rawhide bone for hours without getting distracted.
9 PM:
Mom’s brushing her teeth, which can only mean that it’s time for my nighttime pee. We take a quick walk around the block, and I run into a few other dogs. We’re all pretty sleepy from such a fun day!
10 PM:
Time for sleep! I curl up at the foot of my mom’s bed and we both drift off to sleep. I can’t wait for all the fun things we’re going to do tomorrow!
